Pichia sp. is a world wide established and save expression system. W42 has realised its own, independent and highly-efficient Pichia sp. expression system (inducibel by methanol) that is already proved on an industrial level for the robust and reliable production of technical enzymes. The advanced expression systems of W42 based on methylotrophic Pichia strains were proven by an external patent attorney declaring fully FTO for the Pichia pastoris / Paox1 system in Europe and the US. The methanol independent expression system using Pichia angusta / Pfmdh has fully FTO for Europe. Further innovative and independent expression systems for Pichia strains, enabling methanol and methanol independent induction mechanisms and complete FTO world-wide, are in development.

For production of your enzyme in E. coli different expression systems e.g. induction by L-rhamnose or IPTG (lactose) are available.
